Jay Gjurgevich
Lead Pastor
As native Arizonans, my wife, Katie, and I have a deep love for Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix area. Together we have four kids, Kylie, Brooklyn, Peyton, and Lincoln, and we are all really excited to be a part of North Bible Church! As a pastor, I have served in various roles in churches in Arizona, Texas, and Oregon and have been on mission trips in Africa, Europe, Mexico, and the Middle East. My experiences in ministry have given me a genuine appreciation for different cultures and backgrounds, so although we call Arizona home, we are passionate about what God is doing all over the world. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona (Bear Down!) and my Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. When I'm not hanging out with my wife and kids at home, I enjoy hiking, reading, traveling, as well as being a long-suffering Arizona sports fan. Against my better judgment, I like eating spicy foods until my face goes numb and playing sports that I'm too old to play.
