This garden helps Refugees grow produce for their family or they can sell it at farmer's markets.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a different garden than our September project.
Who?
Volunteers will meet Anna at the Cross Connections site.
Where?
3901 W Dunlap Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85051
Near West Dunlap Baptist Church. Park in main church parking lot. The garden is located to the west, behind the church.
When?
Roughly 9am-noon.
Activities:
Volunteers will be working on pulling weeds, hauling dirt in a wheelbarrow, moving branches, touching up shade structures and wash stations, picking up trash, basic handy work (using hammers, staple gun, shovels, weedwacker).
New Roots will provide water and snacks for the volunteer group!
What to bring:
Tshirts/tank tops
Shorts/breathable pants
Hats
Old Shoes/Running Shoes
Sunscreen
Bug spray
